Beenish Ahmed

About

Beenish Ahmed is currently a reporter with Michigan Radio and has worked for NPR and WNYC. Her reporting has appeared in the New Yorker, Harper’s, and The Atlantic. Her creative writing has appeared in the BreakBeats Poetry Anthology, Halal If You Hear Me. She is the founder of an international literature-based box subscription company called THE ALIGNIST. As an undergraduate at the University of Michigan, she won several Hopwood awards. As a graduate student and Fulbright Scholar at Cambridge University, she won the John Kinsella and Tracy Ryan Poetry Prize.
