Michelle García is a journalist and essayist. Her work has appeared in the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Guardian, Oxford American, and Guernica, among others. She is a Soros Equality Fellow and the current Dobie Paisano writer-in-residence. She is working on a book about the border.
