Jamie McGhee is a novelist who aspires to build, through language, interactive spaces of resistance and experimentation. She is the author of several books, including You Mean It or You Don’t: James Baldwin’s Radical Challenge, (co-authored with Dr. Adam Hollowell of Duke University) and What I Must Tell the World: The Story of Lorraine Hansberry, (written in partnership with director Lena Waithe). McGhee has been supported by residencies and awards from Zürich University of the Arts in Switzerland, Nawat Fes in Morocco, Instituto Sacatar in Brazil and Künstlerdorf Schöppingen in Germany. She is based in Berlin.
